Senior Mechanical Training Consultant
to c£46k + car + generous benefits

Location: Slough or Livingston - flexible on either site

Description: Enthusiastic and experienced Senior Mechanical Training Consultant required by our established leading provider of technical training and assessment solutions.

Our client is well established in their niche sector and are a leading provider of nationally recognised training solutions and assessment courses encompassing Mechanical & Electrical Safe Systems of Work, Legionella (Water Hygiene), F-Gas, Medical Gases, Ventilation and Health & Safety to a variety of clients across the UK and overseas, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit an articulate and experienced Senior Mechanical Training Consultant to complement their dynamic and professional team and can accommodate in either Slough or the newly opened training centre in Livingston.

Reporting to the Mechanical Training Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of training events to agreed standards at dedicated in-house training centres or on customer premises throughout UK and occasionally overseas. You will carry out assessments of candidates against established criteria and develop both open and bespoke events to meet specified customer needs, whilst ensuring that delivery standards and service levels meet customer expectations and associated documentation concerned with the above activities is delivered both promptly and efficiently.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will have successfully completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship or equivalent recognised training programme and hold a relevant mechanical qualification at QCF level 3 or above and an engineering qualification at QCF level 4 or above (HNC or equivalent) with a recognised Internal Quality Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1 or equivalent) proving distinctly advantageous.

You will essentially demonstrate suitable engineering experience gained in a mechanical or building services discipline along with a good knowledge of the operation of safe systems of work and practical experience in the validation and commissioning of ventilation installations.

You will hold a full UK driving license and be willing to work away from home for short periods as required, and possess proven practical experience in the operation and maintenance of Pressure Systems ie Steam/ Hot Water systems, Compressed Air, Refrigeration, Med Gases etc, with Authorised Person Mechanical System or Ventilation experience gained within an NHS or Commercial FM Sector and a good understanding of HTM03-01 and Authorised Person Confined Spaces experience and a good knowledge of the operation of safe systems of work in particular JSP375 Pt2 Vol 3 Chapter 6 proving distinctly advantageous.

Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, you will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills at all levels with strong written and verbal communication abilities and a genuine enthusiasm for training and development. Previous teaching or training experience and a high level of proficiency in the MS suite of packages will prove advantageous, as will the ability to maintain a relaxed and professional outlook under pressure.
