Our client specialise in the design and manufacture of globally renowned special purpose machinery for a range of manufacturing applications, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and highly self motivated Interim Junior Buyer to complement their established and successful team.
Tasked with taking projects from initial quotation, negotiation, order placement and through to expediting, the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 1 year of commercial experience within an engineering or technical purchasing environment with additional experience of supply chains and developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies proving distinctly advantageous.
You will become involved with supplier identification, analysis and assessment as well as negotiation and contract award, so previous knowledge of Commercial Framework agreements and commodity plans that can be applied to multi year sourcing will also prove distinctly advantageous, and with your strong cost focus and the ability to negotiate commercially advantageous contracts as well as being able to work effectively with internal colleagues and build strong relationships with new and existing suppliers and internal stakeholders.
To be considered for this varied, challenging and highly rewarding opportunity, you will ideally demonstrate at least 12 months or more experience of Purchasing in any sector, and will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongwith analytical and negotiation skills, and will be a strong influencer with excellent commercial acumen, and an effective stakeholder manager able to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships that add value to the business.
