Location: Home based, covering the UK, Ireland and the EU

Description: Multi skilled field service engineer required for a range of PPM and reactive maintenance, installation and training activities on a range of special purpose manufacturing machinery.

Salary: to £32k + bonus + car (realistic OTE c£45k - £55k) + overtime + benefits

Our globally renowned client specialise in the Sale and Service of special purpose Heat Treatment machinery to a diverse range of clients throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, highly self-motivated and experienced multi discipline Service Engineer to complement their established and successful team.

Committed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction and support, the successful candidate will perform all aspects of machinery installation, planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance repairs as well as providing advanced customer training to maintenance and production personnel with customers both in the UK, Ireland and the EU, so it is essential that candidates demonstrate exhaustive mechanical, electrical and software trouble shooting skills as well as effective communication skills at all levels – as support will be undertaken both remotely and on site as required.

Whilst developing longstanding professional relationships with clients throughout the UK and EU, you will maximize sales opportunities from the company product portfolio throughexpert recommendations and technical leads as well as enhancements, modifications and upgrades. Experience of working within the glass industry would prove distinctly advantageous although this is not essential, as for suitable candidates, training will be provided at the groups’ prestigious Head Office. As a field service role, it is essential that the successful candidate be prepared to undertake extensive travel with regular overnight stays required, and with installation projects requiring potentially 2-3 weeks on site depending on location, the role will not suit engineers unable to spend extended periods of time away from home.

To be considered for this varied, challenging and highly rewarding opportunity within a genuinely recognised global market leader, you will demonstrate relevant Mechanical and Electrical engineering qualifications and exhaustive analysis and problem solving abilities for mechanical and electrical systems, including modern inverter controlled drive systems and computer controlled equipment. Knowledge of Beckhoff, Vacon and Siemens control systems and drives will prove distinctly advantageous.

Comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team, you will possess excellent organizational and time management abilities, whilst demonstrating an adaptable and flexible approach, and with your systematic and methodical approach and high levels of attentionto detail, you will thrive within a professional environment committed to complete customer satisfaction. You will also possess a strong awareness of current safe working practices and will be skilled in the ability to risk assess situations as appropriate, with an additional language again proving distinctly advantageous
