Our client is recognised as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated materials handling solutions with the largest after-market support infrastructure of its kind. We are now seeking to recruit an experienced, energetic and self-motivated Residential Contracts Manager to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will lead the team of Site Managers who are responsible for delivering contractual performance levels to a “blue chip” customer base. There are currently 18 managed sites across the country with over 100 staff employed to support the customer. Whist the standard disciplines of business development, achieving budgets and contractual KPI’s are taken as a given the positon brings with it a focus on promoting safe working, developing a culture of service innovation and sharing best practice wherever it can be found.
The activities are wide ranging including regular service reviews with customers, preparing and being involved in new contract negotiations and renewals, and developing opportunities for spares, refurbishment, modifications and enhancements where applicable. The development of the supporting team, with a good mix of experienced and newly appointed members, is important in ensuring a consistent presentation of the Company Values to every customer at every level.
To be considered for this varied, challenging and extremely rewarding role, you will have an engineering background and be able to demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience of working within automation or materials handling environment. A proven manager with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels, you will be effective in prioritising, with strong commercial and problem solving abilities and committed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Ideally you will be based within commuting distance of the Northamptonshire office, however, consideration will be given to exceptional candidates from further afield. Whilst the position does not require frequent attendance at every site the successful candidate must be comfortable with travelling around the country thus a full driving license is essential.
