Description: Enthusiastic and highly capable Software Development Engineer required for established and successful precision engineering consultancy.
Salary: to £35k negotiable dependant upon experience
Our client specialise in the development of bespoke laser based novel and measuring solutions and services for a variety of industry sector applications, and as a result of continuing success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly capable Software Engineer to complement their established and successful team.
Working within an ISO accredited environment, you will be an experienced Software Engineer skilled in the design and implementation of application software for a range of scientific and embedded systems.
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, you will demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small engineering team, and will be tasked with all aspects of software design, implementation, testing and de-bugging prior to customer handover. Whilst an image processing background is desirable and experience of mechanical engineering useful, ideally you will possess experience of device control on industrial busses and be able to apply this experience to various platforms.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, you will demonstrate proven experience with embedded systems and C++ and all aspects of Software design and implementation as well as associated testing and debug, alongwith knowledge and experience of working with Device Control on Industrial Busses, and essentially you will be flexible and adaptable to work with new technologies in an innovative environment.
Additionally, experience of working within the Metrology Industry or of using Labview and possessing either a mechanical engineering or Image processing background will prove distinctly advantageous.
