Description: Enthusiastic, self motivated and experience CNC Setters / Operators / Programmers required for highly successful manufacturer.

Salary: to £32k plus benefits

Our client is a small family owned fabrication and precision engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacture from concept design to delivery of bespoke equipment and components for a diverse range of industry sector applications. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are actively looking to recruit a number of experienced, enthusiastic and highly capable and self motivated CNC programmer / setter / operators to complement their established and successful team. 

Working as part of a team in a precision engineering R&D environment on a wide range of complex shapes and materials, the successful candidate will essentially be able to programme, set and operate 4 axis CNC mills in accordance with customer specifications, engineering drawings and company standards.  

You will demonstrate a proven ability to manufacture a wide range of piece parts using a variety of machines including Bridgeport, Leadwell, Mazak and Colchester and using a range of materials as well as the skills and experience to programme components on machines using Fanuc G code, Mazatrol and Mitsubishi G Code. You will be able to understand existing CNC programs and create new ones for newly developed products as well as be able to upload / download programs, set up datums and tool offsets and operate the machine until batch completion. 

With the ability to identify tool and work holding requirements for jobs and monitor tool wear, adjust offsets and replace inserts when necessary to ensure correct operation of the machine, you will additionally be proficient in maintaining and servicing machine tools and will be able to recognise, solve and implement required changes for machining related problems.  With proven experience in the assembly of parts and components into a working assembly and of the testing and adjusting of assembles to ensure full functionality, a demonstrable track record in previous roles / grades that exceeded expectations within a busy workshop environment is essential for the post. The ability to use manual machines including Bridgeport mills and Colchester turning centres is distinctly advantageous.
