Description: Experienced senior electrical and controls professional required for highly successful special purpose machinery solutions provider.
Salary: c£40k to £55k negotable dependant upon experience
Our client specialise in the design and build of world-leading special-purpose machine tools for a diverse range of automotive and aerospace applications for export to clients throughout Europe, US, South Africa, South-East Asia, China & India, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced, highly self motivated and multi-talented Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join their established and hard-working successful team.
Working as part of a team as well as autonomously, the successful candidate will undertake a range of duties and responsibilities that will include (but not be limited to)
· Programming PLCs, HMI’s and Servo systems (Siemens and Allen Bradley) for bespoke machines from concept to handover
· Testing, Commissioning and Servicing of Machines
· Designing Electrical Control Systems
· Problem solving both on-site at customer premises and remotely via email/web/access
· Liaising with Customers and Suppliers in the UK and Overseas
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, you will realistically demonstrate at least 3 years experience with Siemens and / or Allen Bradley systems and be qualified to Degree level in Electrical / Control Engineering (although HND with proven experience in the design of machinery and automation solutions will also be considered). You will operate in a highly organised and tidy work style and be flexible to travel overseas for short periods to customer sites on occasion.
