Description: Senior Estimators required able to implement and sustain a comprehensive estimating framework on multi billion pound nuclear projects.

Salary: c£45k to c£55k negotiable dependant upon experience - relocation available

Our client specialise in a range of projects and activities associated with the decommissioning, infrastructure, effluent operations and spent fuel management at one of the most complex nuclear sites in the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit experienced, dynamic and proactive Senior Estimator to provide and maintain a comprehensive Estimating framework and service across multiple major project portfolios and business areas.  

Based in the North West, successful candidates will demonstrate proven experience in the facilitation of the production, establishment and maintenance of the project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and application of the Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), as well as previous experience in the provision of quality estimates for all project phases and stages.  

You will be skilled in utilising current metrics and performing both analysis and development of appropriate norms for estimating deployment, with comprehensive skills in the development of Estimating Uncertainty provisions and the production of the required information to support the risk process.  With demonstrable experience in supporting the commercial analysis of tenders and fair price checking and subsequent analysis of supply chain submissions prior to inclusion in estimates, previous experience of both supervising and mentoring Estimators and Assistant Estimators in the discharge of the planning service will prove distinctly advantageous. 

It is envisaged that successful candidates will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline or professional qualification although suitable relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications where appropriate. You will be IT literate in the MS Office Suite and will work well under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines and both autonomously and as part of a team, so excellent communication skills are critical in the posts as is the ability to consistently produce and present information to the highest standards.
