Description: Senior and experienced planning professionals required to implement and sustain an effective planning framework across multi £ billion projects.
Salary: c£45k to c£55k negotiable dependant upon experience - relocation available
Our client specialise in a range of projects and activities associated with the decommissioning, infrastructure, effluent operations and spent fuel management at one of the most complex nuclear sites in the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit experienced, dynamic and proactive Senior Planning Engineers to provide and maintain a comprehensive Planning framework and service across multiple major project portfolios and business areas.
Based in the North West, successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to establish and maintain a programme level work breakdown structure (WBS) and proven experience in establishing and maintaining an integrated schedule framework for programmes of work. You will prepare, monitor and forecast baselines and working schedules during all gated project phases and both establish and maintain a Basis of Schedule for all schedules produced. You will demonstrate proven experience in the application of Rules of Credit and Quantity Tracking and the ability to identify and track changes / potential changes to project baselines, and will be skilled in the preparation of progress reports including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas, trends and recommending recovery options.
With demonstrable experience of establishing and maintaining planning databases (Primavera as a minimum) along with experience in the application of the risk process, you will possess both knowledge and an understanding of providing project outturns against baseline for LFE and Knowledge Management and will be skilled in supervising Planning Engineers and Assistant Planning Engineers in the discharge of the planning service, so previous experience of mentoring and supporting engineers in their development will prove distinctly advantageous.
It is envisaged that successful candidates will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline or professional qualification although suitable relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications where appropriate. You will be IT literate in the MS Office Suite and will work well under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines and both autonomously and as part of a team, so excellent communication skills are critical in the posts as is the ability to consistently produce and present information to the highest standards.
