Description: Experienced process professional required to operate as a technical ambassador to a global water treatment opeation.
Salary: to £30k plus vehicle and expenses
Our client specialise in the provision of bespoke solutions ranging from Construction and Plant Engineering to servicing and commissioning of laboratory and manufacturing operations. As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a graduate calibre Process Engineer to complement their established and highly successful organisation.
Home based and essentially degree qualified in an Environmental Science, Project Engineering or Technical discipline, the successful candidate will demonstrate a minimum of 3 years experience of working in a Process Technology related field and will have experience of working with process related equipment, subcontractors and equipment suppliers, possessing practical experience with light maintenance (e.g. calibration of instruments, repair of smaller pumps, belt changes, oil changes of gear boxes, etc.) and of working closely with customers and client facing.
Experience of working with aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment plants will prove distinctly advantageous, and exposure to previous sales experience or possessing an existing network in the distillery industry or other Scottish industries will also prove attractive.
You will be knowledgeable about individual plant components (e.g. pumps, blowers, valves, instruments, etc.) and ideally will possess a working knowledge of biological waste water treatment plants (aerobic and anaerobic), with a working knowledge of chemical physical waste water treatment plants (e.g. flocculation, precipitation, pH correction, sedimentation, etc.) also proving beneficial.
You will act as an ambassador of the client, providing process and maintenance support to existing customers and providing detailed reports from site visits and communicating these to internal and external stakeholders. You will be a motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individual who is able to travel and spend time away from home, and will be both focused and target orientated and based in the Glasgow / Edinburgh / Perth region.
