Our client specialise in a vast array of world class engineering solutions for the most diverse selection of engineering and technical market leaders and infrastructure solution providers, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing program of continuous improvement, they are now looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and highly self motivated software developer to complement their established and highly successful team. Based near Hull, the successful candidate will demonstrate a keen interest in web based applications to help develop a range of in house applications and associated systems.
You will be tasked with initially undertaking an in house training program that will focus on the skills and techniques required to develop bespoke web based applications before joining the development team on core business application development projects.
These will include developing new modules and being involved in the full development cycle, becoming an expert in OO PHP 5.4 with a good grounding in OO Design Principles and Patterns and the use of advanced PHP frameworks such as the Zend Framework and Symfony 2. To be considered for this varied and challenging role, you will essentially demonstrate an in depth understanding of object oriented programming and the ability to program as such. Excellent communication skills and a general understanding of up to date programming techniques and IT practice are also required. You will ESSENTIALLY have attained a Computer Science related degree or equivalent and will possess a reasonable level of basic education including A-C grade GCSE’s or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
