Description: Enthusiastic and self motivated Junior Project Manager required for busy project team allied to the automation and materials handling sector.
Salary: to £35k negotiable dependant upon experience.
Our client is recognized as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated materials handling solutions, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, we are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Junior Project Manager to complement our established and successful team.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the successful candidate will manage the overall execution of small projects (£100k to £1,000k), or support a Senior Project Manager with the management of large project work packages, through all phases from contract award to successful handover.
Tasked with a wide range of activities and responsibilities, the successful candidate will ensure that all projects/work packages are initiated in accordance with the companies Stage-Gate methodology, and all aspects of the project/work package are executed to scope, schedule and cost.
You will both create and maintain an integrated project implementation schedule and provide direction, motivation and decision support to project team members, whilst establishing and maintaining productive business relationships with all levels of suppliers and customers. You will provide informal weekly and formal monthly internal reports on progress and where necessary formal progress reports to clients, whilst ensuring the company standard processes for action and risk management are followed.
To be considered for this varied, challenging and extremely rewarding role, you will have an engineering background and be able to demonstrate some previous proven success in project management of capital equipment installation projects. Ideally you will be based within commuting distance of the Northamptonshire office, however, consideration will be given to exceptional candidates from further afield. Regular travel to project sites throughout the UK is a requirement of this position thus a full driving license is essential.
