Description: Graduate Quality Engineer required for busy automotive manufacturing client.

Our globally renowned client works with a diverse range of automotive and commercial vehicle manufacturers throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Quality Engineer to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer and working on a permanent days basis (7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday), the successful candidate will be responsible for the product quality, process control, quality standards and related procedures required to meet company and customer expectations, in order to ensure that the quality of product produced is of the highest and safest possible standards to ensure parts are manufactured and will perform well.
You will promote safety, quality thinking and reduce waste within the company, and both develop and implement all elements of APQP activities including FMEA's, control plans and PSW's as well as establishing requirements for on-going capability monitoring and SPC. Additionally you will raise and implement robust corrective action programmes encompassing customer, supplier and internal quality concerns, and both assist and coach quality technicians and production associates where required.
You will produce and issue monthly reports covering quality indicators as advised by the Senior Quality Engineer, and establish and issue Quality acceptance standards in accordance with company and customer expectations, as well as carrying out work safely in the interests of other employees and yourself, in compliance with current legislation and Environmental, Health & Safety procedures, and will ensure quality standards are maintained and improved to both internal and external customers requirements.
To be considered for this exceptional graduate opportunity, you will be qualified to degree level in a suitable technical discipline or relevant experience and will possess at least 2 years experience of working in a fast moving automotive environment. A well organised individual with the ability to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving environment with a high commitment to quality ISO 90012000 / TS/ISO 16949 standards, you will be methodical and able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to technical aspects of Quality, and will possess the knowledge and skills to use the 8D, 5Why, FTA, MSA, SPC, APQP, FMEA, PPAP quality tools. You will be results driven and able to work within a multifunctional team as well as autonomously, and a good communicator with the ability to deal with different situations and personnel of all levels.
