Description: Experienced and motivated Quality Manager required for highly successful (sheet metal fabrication) manufacturing operation.

Our client specialise in the design and manufacture of highest quality money handling solutions for a range of blue chip retail and banking clients, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and experienced Quality Manager to complement their established and successful team.
Based in Essex, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the finished product is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations, and will coordinate the activities of the quality department to ensure that required quality standards are met.
You will additionally be responsible for determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications, as well as for reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met. You will be tasked with determining training needs on an ongoing basis, and will both promote and maintain ISO9001 guidelines throughout company departments, working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers and setting standards for quality as well as health and safety.
You will ensure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards, and will define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff, setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures and monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, you will demonstrate at least 5 years previous Quality Assurance / Quality Control and management experience and will ideally be qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. You will demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge of ISO9001 certification guidelines in a manufacturing environment, with previous experience or a background of working in sheet metal proving distinctly beneficial.
