Description: Dyanmic, motivated and experienced service manager required for busy reactive maintenance solutions provider.

Salary: £35k - £45k negotiable dependant upon experience

 

Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of electro mechanical repair solutions and complete plant maintenance programmes to a range of industrial and engineering clients. As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self motivated and highly capable and qualified Service Manager to ensure the highest levels of customer service are achieved and maintained within a busy engineering repair environment. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate impressive abilities in the management of team members as well as in activities and situations in order to ensure strict deadline targets are achieved, and will possess exceptional communication and organisational skills essential in ensuring focussed effort from all members of the team.

With a strong, dynamic and enthusiastic personality and approach, you will be responsible for all aspects of the production operation, ensuring budgets are achieved and customer satisfaction is maintained. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of modern rotating machines such as pumps, gearboxes and electric motors and possess a relevant engineering qualification or the ability to demonstrate directly relevant experience gained within a comparable environment, as well as previous maintenance management experience gained within a heavier engineering environment, perhaps within the service or spares sector or the plant hire, lift or crane markets. You will be skilled in customer liaison and commercially astute, capable of generating attractive and financially beneficial quotations and planning and organising the production operation with ongoing improvements in cost, quality and service levels.

Additionally you will be flexible to undertake occasional travel to customer locations throughout the UK and a full driving licence is therefore essential.
