Description: Experienced business development professional required for dynamic and proactive SCADA and real time control solutions specialist.
Salary: to £38k basic plus vehicle plus bonus plus benefits = OTE c£47k+
For more than 2 decades, our globally recognised client has specialised in the design, development and implementation of real-time control software solutions (Industrial information systems and SCADA) to a diverse range of blue chip clients allied to the nuclear, water treatment, transportation infrastructure, electricity and building management sectors.
As a result of continued success and a planned programme of ongoing strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly self motivated UIK Sales professional to complement their established and successful team and to expand upon their customer base in both the UK and overseas. Working closely with the International Operations Manager in the UK, you will proactively contact potential customers by telephone to introduce our clients’ products and services, as well as reactively handle inbound sales calls and requests as well as email and website enquiries, providing potential customers with information and maximising relationships for best results and repeat business orders. You will be responsible for the preparation and issue of basic quotations to new and existing clients and follow projects through from enquiry to order placement and sign off, so excellent communication and organisational skills are critical for the role.
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity within a stable and progressive market leading environment, you will be based within a commutable radius of Luton and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a telesales environment for technical software products (in an environment such as Rockwell, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Wonderware, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric, Copa Data, Iconics, Adroit Technologies, Serck or Servelec). It is envisaged that because of the customer facing nature of the role, 3 – 4 days per week will be spent at client premises throughout the UK and Ireland, with the remaining time spent at the Bedfordshire Head Office and trips to Paris. You will possess at least 5 years experience in the sale of technical software products (preferably SCADA) and an appreciation of real time SCADA and Microsoft Windows operating systems, networking and SQL databases as well as real-time communications between hardware and software subsystems. A degree or similar qualification will prove distinctly advantageous, as will a basic understanding of written and spoken French.
