Description: Technically and commercially experienced Project Manager required for global water and waste water treatment specialist.

Salary:to £46k plus generous benefits

Our client specialises in the design and supply of equipment used in the treatment of domestic and industrial water and wastewater, and as a result of recent positive restructuring and a series of strategic acquisitions are now seeking to recruit an experienced and highly self motivated and dynamic Project Manager to complement their existing team.

Reporting to the Group Projects Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of management and financial control of assigned contracts with a view to maximising profits, whilst maintaining schedules and delivering a trouble free installation, and will serve as the overall contact for customers and other departments, whilst being responsible for developing and maintaining the critical path schedule. You will be responsible for the delivery of the budget gross margin for each project as well as for clarifying the project scope and ensuring that all direct reports understand it, in addition to undertaking all project analysis, planning and control activities and preparing and maintain the consolidated risk register and associated product delivery plan.

In addition, you will be continuously involved in the development of processes to improve and support project delivery, and will plan and administer the P&L and schedules for the deliverables for each project, reviewing all applicable job data, including POs, project plans and specifications and maintaining associated schedules for purchasing, fabrication, construction, inspection and start-up etc. You will therefore demonstrate previous success and proven experience in scheduling and conducting project review meetings, focusing on scope of supply, cost, construction, and project scheduling, and will be an excellent communicator able to advise Group Projects Managers of project status and reporting any variations to costs and/or problems which may change the forecast delivery, profitability, warranty etc of such contracts as well as communicating promptly with customers on project schedules and any issues relating to that contract.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role, the successful candidate will be a confident and effective decision maker and responsible for directly managing engineering teams assigned to critical projects, assigning day to day tasks and determining the flow/pace of work and undertaking employee performance evaluation on those involved in the specific projects. You will be qualified to at least Degree level in a related Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical Engineering discipline and demonstrate extensive experience gained in a multi-million pound engineering or project management environment - ideally with water/wastewater equipment, and will be proficient in full project lifecycle delivery from cradle to grave with full P&L responsibility, and flexibility to travel to site therefore is also a prerequisite for the role.
