Our client has been established for nearly three decades, and specialise in the design, manufacture and distribution or highest quality fashion accessories for global supply whilst operating a Ethical Tradingstrict ethical trading policy and backed by BS EN ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation. As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic quality and ethical assurance manager to complement their established and successful team.
Tasked with the quality inspection and control of goods and associated reporting, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining ISO 9000 Quality System & ISO14000 Environmental Systems, checking that pre-production and production samples meet the required quality and aesthetic standards, producing quality inspection reports to communicate required product improvements and inspecting incoming goods against sealing samples to required standards and reporting any differences/problems so that action can be taken accordingly.
Additionally you will ensure defective stock is quarantined and that sealing, pre-production and production samples are stored and labelled correctly at all times, maintaining appropriate documentation and suggesting improvements/amendments to the quality system where appropriate. You will also assist the Warehouse Manager with goods inspection/control and processing as and when necessary and work with suppliers to continually improve quality & ethical standards.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role you will demonstrate a meticulous approach to accuracy and numeracy with a high level of integrity, as poor quality products simply cannot be allowed to enter the system, and you will possess a keen eye for product detail (e.g. colour/design) as well as an understanding of product functionality. You will possess clear, concise, and courteous verbal and written communication skills to be able to deal effectively with foreign suppliers and customers and will be highly organised and efficient with effective time management skills and a methodical and logical approach to problem solving.
You will be computer literate (preferably familiar with the basics of Adobe Photoshop, excel, word, access, e-mail and Dataease) and both self-motivated and determined to succeed, with the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills and adapt to an ever changing and growing business. The ability to work to tight deadlines, multitask and thrive in a busy office/warehouse environment are essential, and those candidates with qualifications in quality inspection/control and knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality System & ISO14000 Environmental Systems will be viewed favourably.
