Description: Experienced Quality professional required to implement new quality systems within a busy manufacturing environment.

Our client specialise in the high volume manufacture of metal products, predominantly for niche markets around the world, and have been established for many years, and as a result of continued success that has come about from the ability to be flexible to the needs of their customers without any recognized quality/management systems, to both consolidate and further develop the business it has now been recognised that there is a need to formulate and manage a strong and robust management system that meets the demands of a modern market.
With this in mind, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly self motivated and capable Quality Manager who can demonstrate by example the development, implementation and ongoing management of a successful system working to ISO 9001 standard.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will support the business in developing, controlling and improving Quality standards, providing strategic quality guidance for the business and both maintaining and improving robust procedures in compliance with all applicable Regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying the root cause of quality issues, and for implementing containment, corrective and preventative actions to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
You will also be required to establish and report on appropriate Quality business measures whilst developing and defining Quality programmes, and will essentially demonstrate the calibre and credibility to represent the Company both internally and externally, with customers, suppliers, and regulatory organisations when required.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that you will be educated to at least HND/degree level in an engineering related discipline, and will demonstrate a Quality Management background within an Engineering or Manufacturing field – with a background in the metals industry proving distinctly advantageous.
