Our client is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems solutions to the transportation infrastructure industry. Offering a range of highest quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development to blue chip clients worldwide, as a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Proposals Engineer to effectively support the highly successful Sales team.
You will be a technically motivated professional engineer with a degree/HND in control, electrical, electronic or software engineering or direct equivalent relevant experience and ideally possessing previous proposals or technical experience of SCADA / System Integration / control systems / PLC panels and Ethernet networks.
You will be able to understand enquiry documentation, system specifications / requirements and determine suitable solutions, and identify project costs and compile cost models, produce proposal documentation in line with company and client requirements. You will communicate with internal managers, suppliers, subcontractors and clients as required and present complex technical solutions in a simple and effective manner so excellent written and oral communication skills are critical for the role.
You will also be able to identify project risks and associated methods of categorizing and managing these risks, and understand the client project timescales and/or create project programme’s in line with client requirements, whilst applying company quality processes to ensure robust proposal generation in a consistent manner.
