Description:Experienced and enthusiastic electrically biased, multi discipline maintenance professional required for busy and successful furniture manufacturer.
Salary:Negotiable dependant upon experience - suggested range anywhere between £23k and £32k if abel to demonstrate industry sector experience. Training available.
Our client has been established for almost 25 years and specialise in the design and manufacture of kitchen furniture for a diverse range of customer applications.
As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and highly capable Shift Engineer to complement their established and successful team.
Tasked with servicing and repairing specialist PLC controlled machinery and plant involved with furniture production and assembly, the successful candidate will be qualified to at least HND level in Electrical or Electronic engineering and will demonstrate proven experience of maintenance, fault diagnostics and the repair of plc controlled machine tools, ideally gained within the woodworking / furniture industry (with full training to gain familiarisation and competency with the process and functions of the machinery available where necessary).
In addition, you will possess a working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components and being qualified to 17th edition would be advantageous though not essential. You will be comfortable in working both autonomously or as part of a team – often within a pressurised environment in which on time project delivery and customer satisfaction is vital.
Working on a shift basis (06:00-14:30hrs and 13:30-22:00hrs Monday – Friday on a rotating basis), in order to suit the needs of the business occasional night shift work may be necessary as will overtime work at weekends so you should possess a flexible and adaptable approach where required.
