Maintenance Technician – Paint & Bonding West Midlands to £33k+o/tOur globally renowned client specialise in the development and manufacture of a range of automotive components for supply throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced Multi discipline Maintenance Technician to complement their established and successful team.
Working on a 3 shift system you will be tasked with ensuring that the paint line is kept in a functional and safe condition by dealing with planned and preventive maintenance in close link with the paint team and following quality and productivity standards and HSE rules. The successful candidate will handle all paint and bonding line maintenance requirements, performing daily and weekly paint and bonding plant maintenance activities, and will manage the spares system and support new installations required to improve manufacturing performance.
You will provide a rapid response to breakdowns and repair accordingly and perform daily and weekly paint maintenance plan activities, maintaining and improving OEE for plant equipment such as Paint Plant Systems and manage and maintain Plant Planned Preventative Maintenance system for paint line. You will ensure preventive maintenance of entire painting equipment is undertake and check both spare part stocks in consignment warehouse and for coagulation, complying with current operating instructions and contributing to the TPM process. Additionally you will record paint shop consumables in appropriate systems and manage the spares system for paint plant equipment, whilst supporting new installations required to improve paint line performance when required.
With your ability to maintain process control by following the process control plan, and to prepare paint and bonding process equipment for start-up after a period of down-time (weekend or factory shutdown) and for shutdown, you will maintain robot process set-up (trajectory programs, brush-file maintenance, program backup) and work flexibility between paint and bonding application and maintenance environments.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role you will demonstrate exhaustive knowledge and experience in Pneumatics, Fabrication, Equipment strip down on pumps, gear pumps, wet paint specific equipment including Lactec Bells, and Bench Skills with electrical installation and fault Finding experience.
