Robot Programmer (Fanuc) West Midlands £36k + benefits (Days)Our globally renowned client specialise in the development and manufacture of a range of automotive components for supply throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced Fanuc Robot Programming Engineer to complement their established and successful team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming robot movements and for changing and documenting software and programs as required, as well as ensuring that all robot equipment is maintained in perfect working order. You will set up and document the CO2 treatment and painting parameters of the robots as well as undertake software modifications (robots, conveyor, pilot, 2K, HOT, etc.) and detecting and repairing robot defects as appropriate.
Additionally, you will be responsible for improving the robot applications and CO2 treatment and for monitoring results of CO2 treatment and paint consumption, instructing the robot operators initially about their job and subsequently performing maintenance and care of all robot equipment, initiating robot maintenance and repair in-house or by external sources when required and collecting production data and inputting this into the relevant system (SAP, WILLE, SQP) when necessary.
As you would expect within a globally recognised organisation of this calibre, commitment to continuous improvement is paramount and you will participate in the company TPM process whilst ensuring compliance with current work instructions and carrying out any other activities as directed.
To be considered for this technically challenging and rewarding role, you will ESSENTIALLY demonstrate previous experience of programming FANUC robots, and will demonstrate excellent communication and technical abilities as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of an established and respected team, as well as a good working knowledge and understanding of automated systems.
