Software Project Manager Northamptonshire to £40k + car + benefits
Our client is recognized as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated materials handling solutions, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing program of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit a Software Project Manager to manage the delivery of a wide range of awarded materials handling and warehouse management software projects.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all software projects within their portfolio are delivered in line with contractual obligations and customer expectations.
Based from the Kettering office and travelling when required to project related locations throughout the UK and occasionally Europe, you will be responsible for the direction and management of all in house software design, development, and testing, personnel for the duration of each project, managing: the software element of small to medium sized integrated materials handling projects, warehouse management and control systems and Oracle database reporting packages, and additionally project managing a portfolio of existing client software upgrade and enhancement projects on an ongoing basis.
Working within the companies clearly defined Stagegate project control process at all times, you will be responsible for all aspects of successful on-time within-budget project delivery, including scope control, resource management, and associated warehouse management and control systems hardware procurement and its’ subsequent installation on site.To be considered for this challenging, varied but highly rewarding position within a market leading organisation, you will essentially demonstrate excellent customer relationship management skills (both internal and external) and effective influencing and communication skills at all levels, alongwith experience in the management of scope, schedule, cost and quality elements of software development projects. ou will understand the importance and methodology of effective project planning, and have experience in the identification and definition of risks through to successful conclusion, with the ability to schedule project activities effectively using MS Project.
