Salary:to £30k basic + generous bonuses and benefits - realistic OTE £40k plus

Our client specialise in the distribution and support of equipment for use in the fast paced and extremely competitive electronics industry, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly self motivated Microelectronics Sales Engineer to complement their established and successful team.

 

Reporting to and supporting the Business Unit Manager, the successful candidate will be tasked with both growing and developing the microelectronics capital equipment, services and consumables business area throughout the UK and Ireland.

 

With previous demonstrable experience of advanced packaging and assembly technologies (including epoxy dispensing for die attach, encapsulation and underfill applications, multi chip die bonding, wire bonding and testing, plasma processing and hermetic package sealing), you will undertake a range of pipeline management duties from enquiry to closure on order values ranging from £1k to £500k (typical examples range from between £20k to £200k), maintaining up to date records with the CRM system and both handling reactive general inbound sales enquiries as well as performing a range of proactive business development and marketing activities to expand the customer base.

 

Demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills at all levels, you will thrive in a face to face customer environment and will travel extensively in a prospecting and opportunity development capacity in order to both understand the specific customer requirements and to deliver presentations and solutions, as well as attending tradeshows, seminars and networking events when required.

 

Commercially astute and skilled in both generating quotations and securing orders at agreed margins, you will additionally be tasked with selling after sales service agreements, training and maintenance contracts throughout the UK and abroad, maintaining supplier relationships as well as keeping fully up to date with new products and suppliers and wider market opportunities.
