Description: Multi skilled maintenance professional required to work within a prestigious automated warehousing and distribution centre operation

Our client specialise in the design, development and implementation of automated materials handling solutions for supply throughout the UK and Europe, and as a result of an ongoing success and an aggressive programme of planned strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic multi skilled shift maintenance professional to complement their established and successful team.
Tasked with undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of customer equipment on site, you will work on a 37.5 hr week rotating shift pattern (4 on and 4 off), carrying out reactive automated materials handling equipment servicing and repair in accordance with predetermined quality standards as well as undertaking scheduled maintenance in line with industry standard practices and manufacturers recommendations.
Demonstrating previous experience of prioritising and undertaking repairs and installation of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment (both S7 PLC controlled as well as PC controlled systems), your objective is to ensure the quality and consistency of output and product flow at all times, recording all work undertaken accurately and assisting in continuous improvement activities wherever practicable, whilst complying with associated H&S legislation at all times. Additionally you will ensure that on-site spares are maintained to optimum levels and will represent the client in a professional manner, acting as an ambassador on the customer site and ensuring satisfaction at all times whilst being able to comfortably engage positively at all levels.
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity offering stability, excellent remuneration and progression within a globally renowned blue-chip organisation, successful candidates will be qualified to at least HNC or equivalent in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline, and able to read technical manuals, drawings and schematics as well as possess a strong understanding of PLC and control systems and techniques. Having successfully completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship will prove distinctly advantageous.
You will be PC literate, confident and comfortable in working at heights, and demonstrate previous experience of working to PPM schedules whilst complying with various standards and H&S regulations allied to an automated warehousing environment. Additionally you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team or autonomously, whilst being able to adopt a logical approach to fault finding and problem resolution.
