Description: Enthusiastic Project Manager required to effectively modify an existing supply base whilst taking projects from concept to delivery within a busy manufactruring support environment.
Salary: to £35k plus ben
Our client is recognized as one of the worlds market leaders in the global supply of manufacturing technology and services to a diverse range of end users, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth and development, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly self motivated Project Manager to complement their established and successful team.
The Bedford site specialise in the build of capital equipment associated with the paper and printing industry, and as part of a multi million pound Group with locations throughout the world, are committed to the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction as you would expect.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role of Project Manager is a varied one, and the successful candidate will initially be tasked with two key tasks critical to the ongoing development of the business, with the first primarily consisting of becoming the main focal point and contact with customers in taking projects from kick off to project delivery, demanding exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time, and a flexible approach to travel to customer and supplier sites when required.
The second part of the role will require assisting in the move of the existing supplier base onto negotiated supplier agreements in order to ensure that best pricing, consistent quality and most importantly on time delivery are achieved and exceeded, and whilst a template agreement is already in place and many suppliers already work within this framework, this will challenge both your liaison and negotiation skills to their limits in order to ensure and maintain the highest levels of quality product and services are achieved at all times.
