Description: Enthusiastic and self motivated Junior Buyer and Expeditor required to join an established and successful team and pursue a career as a procurement professional.

Our client specialize in the design and supply of equipment used in the treatment of domestic and industrial water and wastewater, and as a result of recent positive restructuring and a series of strategic acquisitions that have provided the organisation with recognized trademarks, cutting edge technology and access to new markets, they are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Junior Buyer and Expeditor to complement their existing team.
Working in a flexi-time environment (37½ hour week) and reporting to the Product Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the purchasing and procurement of demand/non-demand items and the expediting of all purchase orders at the West Midlands site in order to meet project delivery as requested by the Purchasing and Product Management team.
You will liaise with other team members as to order status enquiries and report any supply issues where required, and will control non inventory MRO Items (stationary, Janitorial etc) whilst undertaking any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the management team.
Whilst experience of water treatment products would be distinctly advantageous, you will essentially demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) and at least 12 months experience in a similarly professional expediting and purchasing environment. A team player, you will be adaptable to change and able to adopt a flexible approach at all times. Additional experience in working with external suppliers and proficiency in the using of Microsoft Packages and Syteline (Training Available) will also prove beneficial to this role.
