Description: Experienced, enthusiastic and articulate Electronics Test Engineer required for busy manufacturing environment.

Salary: to £22k plus benefits

Our client specialise in the design,manufacture and global supply of wired telecommunication systems for a diverse range of demanding operational environments in many different industry sectors throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly self motivated Electrical and Electronic Test Engineer to compliment their established and successful team.
 
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will perform a range of test activities including product testing of new and existing designs, system testing in line with schedules set out by the production manager, and assisting with Factory Acceptance Testing with clients in attendance, whilst liaising with all internal departments & site engineers to ensure timely completion of assigned work and undertaking site engineering visits to aid with the commissioning and handover of the provided systems.
 
Additionally, and when fully trained on company systems, it is envisaged that some overseas or UK travel will be required to work on the Company’s or Customer’s systems on site, and it is essential therefore that you demonstrate both exceptional customer facing and communication skills as well as a flexible approach to travel when required.
 
You will be tasked with providing written reports to the Production Manager and others of all activities carried out in the course of your duties, as well as completing associated documentation when required, and will work closely with the Production Manager as appropriate, to ensure that test work is carried out in the required order, for completion by the required deadlines, working on systems testing as directed and involving initial inspection of equipment, power-up and all test work necessary to bring the system to full functionality for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) or delivery.
 
In addition to your proven hands on fault find, diagnosis and repair skills (occasionally down to component level when viable to do so), essentially you will also demonstrate excellent written skills, as you will be required to maintain all documentation levels, i.e. Works Order folders, Bills of Material Punch Lists and Timesheets as required.
