Description: Proactive, assertive and experienced Senior Production and Manufacturing Engineer required to coordinate the activities of a busy automotive component manufacturing organisation.
Salary: c£35k + ben (negotiable dependant upon experience)
Our client is globally renowned as a market leader in the manufacture of automotive assemblies and components and has been established for more than a quarter of a century. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth and succession planning, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, highly enthusiastic and self motivated Senior Production professional to coordinate the activities of a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate proven experience gained within the fast paced automotive manufacturing sector, and will thrive within a fast paced technically challenging environment.
You will demonstrate previous hands on experience within a machine shop or foundry environment, and be fully conversant with continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacture (including JIT, Kanban, Kaizen, SMED and line balancing) whilst also being able to lead an established team of multi skilled colleagues in a range of new product and new process introduction activities.
It is essential therefore that the successful candidate be able to demonstrate proven communication and effective planning skills, gained within the automotive manufacturing arena, with additional experience gained within forging, aluminium casting and machining environments proving distinctly advantageous.
