Description: Part time multi skilled maintenance engineer required to work as part of a team tasked with performing planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of plant, facilities and equipment within a busy distribution centre environment. Excellent benefits including pension and overtime - 17 hrs per week - and training available subject to core foundation skills. Immediate start available.
Salary: £8,000 for 17 hrs p/week plus overtime and benefits
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, an opportunity has arisen for a part time multi discipline maintenance engineer to undertake a range of maintenance activities within a busy distribution centre environment.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of activities allied to both electrical and mechanical plant, equipment and facilities maintenance, including:
- PAT Testing
- Change of light bulbs throughout warehouse and offices
- Carry out some maintenance (Fire equipment testing etc..)
- Assist engineers with fault finding and maintenance activities
- Support activities with company products and systems in response to customer requirements.
- Communicate with the Site Supervisor and customer in a clear and concise manner
- Adhere to the various quality and reporting systems.
- Provide adequate feedback and intelligence to the Site Supervisor
- Follow escalation procedures
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Requirements
Working with a range of site operations staff, you will possess previous Electrical and Mechanical maintenance experience and used to working under pressure and carrying out tasks with limited supervision.
You will ideally be situated within a 30 minute commutable radius of Uttoxeter and will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work at height.
