Description: Experienced Safety & Reliability Engineer required for our globally renowned Nuclear client.

Salary: to £45k

Our client is renowned as a market leader in the supply of engineering solutions allied to the Nuclear sector, and as a result of continuing success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced Safety and Reliability Engineer to compliment their established and successful Analytical Services Division.

The company have considerable expertise in the specialist fields of safety and reliability, applied to a diverse range of engineering sectors including nuclear, defence, rail as well as more traditional engineering projects, with more recent focus on the preparation of safety cases within the nuclear industry both for the UK and overseas.
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking an enthusiastic and experience individual capable of demonstrating exhaustive skills in the writing of nuclear equipment related safety cases including plant modification documentation and in the development of probabilistic risk assessment allied to the nuclear industry. Essentially you will also therefore demonstrate a good understanding of nuclear power plant and nuclear power systems equipment as well as associated quality systems certified to ISO9001.
You will qualified to at least HND level in electrical or mechanical engineering with at least 5 years relevant experience gained within a nuclear power supply or nuclear systems equipment supply organisation, and will demonstrate excellent communication and self motivation skills as well as a genuine interest in this specialist industry sector.
A good understanding of reactor systems including electrical / protection control systems will prove distinctly advantageous, as will competence in the application of standard ARM techniques (including Hazard Identification (HAZOP/FMEA/FMECA), Fault Analysis (FTA,ETA), Human Reliability and Probabilistic Risk Analysis), and experience in the use of proprietary computer programs including Risk Spectrum, FaultTree+ and Reliability Workbench.
It is essential that you also be able to both attain and maintain UK MoD SC Clearance.
