Description: Experienced Electrical Design Engineer professional required by our market leading niche industry sector giant!

Salary: to c£46k neg dep exp + benefits

Our client is recognised as one of the world leaders in the design, manufacture & development of exciting Family Entertainment Centres and Visitor Attractions, and they are now diversifying further into the exhilarating robotic “dark ride” entertainment sector.

As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an articulate, dynamic and highly self-motivated Electrical Design Engineer to complement their established and successful Product Development team.

Based in the Midlands, the successful Electrical Design Engineer candidate will be responsible for the detailed design of electrical hardware systems for a variety of existing and new entertainment systems and will be able to work from a detailed brief during all product stages, including initial research, product development, detail design and prototyping, through to final ‘First Article’ manufacture and on-going support.

Desired results will be achieved through working effectively with other members of the team including project managers, mechanical and software design teams, so exceptional communication skills at all levels and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team are essential, with a knowledge of current amusement ride industry certification practice (such as EN13814) proving advantageous although not essential.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate a proven electrical Design Engineering background and realistically be qualified to at least HNC level or above in an Electrical Engineering discipline.

You will ideally demonstrate at least 5 years industrial experience gained in electrical systems design with AutoCAD electrical, and be skilled in associated report and specification writing. Experience with Beckhoff, Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC systems and large inverter drives is preferred, as is a knowledge of design risk assessment processes.
