Description: Dynamic and focussed Continuous Improvement Projects Engineer required for a globally renowned niche market sector manufacturing client.
Salary: c£35k - £37k neg dep exp + benefits
Our client has been established for more than a century and are renowned globally as a market leader in their specialist field. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are urgently seeking to recruit a highly self-motivated, proactive and dynamic Project Engineer to provide project support to members of the Global Program Management and Continuous Improvement teams based across the globe.
Reporting to the European Continuous Improvement Manager, the successful candidate will be tasked with supporting individual team members to plan, monitor and execute multiple continuous improvement projects as well as administering project governance reviews and routine team meetings as required, working closely with team members to prepare project reports, analysis and review meeting minutes and managing the Value Drivers database, ensuring all site projects are updated and reported by the agreed timescale.
Other responsibilities will include liaising with individual sites to confirm project financial goals and commitments have been achieved, assisting with the development and maintenance of the project management methodology, to deliver sustainable business results, and managing the project database(s) and tracking and communicating changes, project spend, budget, timescales and closures.
To be considered for this varied and extremely challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be a keen team player who wants to make a difference, who is skilled in both analysing and formatting data into relevant presentable formats and demonstrates the confidence to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation up to Senior Management, to drive and achieve results.
You will be technically adept with strong planning and organising skills and will thrive on working in a fast-paced environment, whilst possessing a willingness and flexibility to travel to support team members and undertake additional activities to deliver business goals and future development.
You will realistically be degree qualified - ideally in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline coupled with a strong level of business acumen and essentially demonstrate previous experience in project management principles and methodologies (Microsoft Project). You will possess an excellent working knowledge and ability in the application of Microsoft Office (minimum intermediate level) along with a basic knowledge of finance and accounting principles and essentially – experience gained within a continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) environment, with an additional language fluency proving distinctly advantageous.
