Our client is recognized as one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated materials handling solutions, and they are now looking to recruit an interim multi discipline maintenance professional to work on a permanent nights basis for a fixed term 6 months (initially) interim role and complement their established and successful existing team prior to site closure in around 6 to 12 months’ time.
The site operates on a 24/7 basis, and with the company priding itself on the high quality service it provides to its’ customers across the country, it is essential that they now recruit a similarly committed and highly professional maintenance team member to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards and the systems meet the required demands.
Reporting to the Residential Support & Training Manager, core responsibilities for this multi skilled, site based night shift maintenance position (Mon – Fri - 9.00pm – 5.00am) will include:
• Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance on automated sortation and materials handling systems
• Monitoring the operation and ensuring stoppages are dealt with promptly
• Assisting the Residential Support & Training Manager with any safety issues which may arise
• Using the computerised system to monitor site activity
• Advising customer of any safety or stock related issues
• Promoting continuous improvement on site via the correct channels`
This is an exceptional and financially attractive interim opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated maintenance engineer to join a team responsible for the ongoing efficiency of fully automated sortation system that handle more than 40,000 parcels per month. To be considered for this exciting and varied position you will demonstrate relevant recognized engineering qualifications, previous experience of working at height and also of working both autonomously and as part of a team. Experience of undertaking basic fault find, modification and debug on Siemen’s PLC’s, SEW inverters will prove distinctly advantageous.
