Our Central London based client specialise in the provision and service of a range of state of the art hot drinks, cold drinks and confectionery vending machine solutions to an array of household name clients, and, as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated vending machine technician and operator (hybrid role) to complement their dynamic and successful team.

Tasked with the filling, cleaning and servicing of a range of vending machine solutions across the Greater London region, the successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and replenishing coffee and vending machines to ensure that the hygiene, cleanliness and safe working of the machines comply with the Company and statutory regulations and for ensuring that all points of service are adequately stocked and rotated as necessary.

Liaising with management and recording any breakdowns of machines to comply with stringent company standards, you will carry out any necessary repairs or services and report any major faults to ensure that all machines are regularly serviced, completing all necessary paperwork in line with company standards and undertaking training on an ongoing basis where necessary.

Full training will be given to the successful candidate, based on a demonstrable background and experience gained with a customer focused service environment allied to the vending machine sector. You will need to be flexible, well organised and methodical in your approach to tasks and will enjoy working autonomously at a variety of locations and carrying out repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications. Additionally, you will liaise with the sales team to ensure they are aware of any customer concerns or potential opportunities to increase business levels.

To be considered for this varied and challenging position, it is essential that you will be able to undertake repairs on faulty machines and have previous experience of working within the Vending Machine Industry, whilst being fit and healthy and able to walk long distances and both carry heavy loads and work with minimum supervision. You will additionally maintain all stock transfer information and record machine readings of all vending equipment at every visit and collect all monies from each machine and add change at every visit as required.

Other duties for this multi-drop role will consist of performing repairs, restocking and cleaning of equipment on various sites to ensure the relevant stock is correctly loaded and positioned to maximise sales, and the role will involve carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance and fault-finding as well as repairing a range of electronic and electro-mechanical systems utilised in vending machines. A company vehicle will be provided and you will essentially therefore possess a full clean UK driving licence.
