Our client specialise in the provision of a range of office technology products and services to an impressive and diverse range of customers throughout the UK. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to complement their established and successful London region field service and support teams.

As the company provide Document Management, Network Support, Cloud Services and Managed Print solutions to both the public and private sector, the role of Field Service Engineer involves working on both a planned preventative and reactive breakdown and repair basis across a range of photocopiers, multifunctional devices and digital office equipment items in accordance with company and manufacturer guidelines.

The successful candidate will be tasked with attending customer call outs as allocated by the national customer service centre, providing first line troubleshooting support and root cause analysis and resolution, carrying out
minimum call procedures in accordance with company guidelines and dealing with technical escalations and customer issues in a prompt and professional manner, before reporting back to “call control” on the status report for each customer job.

As the highest levels of customer satisfaction and service are paramount at all times, you will both optimise the technical performance of machines for maximum customer satisfaction and develop and maintain excellent relationships with the customer portfolio, and advise them of relevant technological advancements within the industry in order to maximise revenue generation, attending manufacturer and supplier training courses on new
equipment as required and delivering customer training where necessary.

You will keep customers abreast of technological developments within the industry, and be focussed on achieving a high first time fix with minimum recalls ratio, whilst managing the allocated spares stock and optimising the car-stock inventory and rotation. Working within all relevant Health and Safety and ISO standards, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will have attained relevant engineering qualifications and demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience of working within the Print or Copier sector, along with strong electromechanical fault find, diagnosis and repair skills.

You will demonstrate previous experience of working within a similar role for either a manufacturer or dealer of office equipment along with experience of repairing Photocopiers or Multi Functional devices. ESSENTIALLY you will demonstrate proven experience of working on one or all of the Kyocera, Ricoh and Canon brands and a high degree of knowledge and experience of electronic/mechanical servicing in a customer facing environment.

With a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) and exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with a dynamic and enthusiastic approach, you will thrive within a varied and challenging technical customer service environment and be comfortable in working under pressure both autonomously and as part of a team.
