Description: Multi skilled maintenance engineers required for both PPM and reactive breakdown repair on a range of special purpose machinery associated with the FMCG sector on a "late shift" basis.

Salary: to c£30k + ben

Our client has been established for almost 75 years and are market leaders in the FMCG production sector. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit a number of motivated and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers to complement their established and highly successful team.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader and Manager and working on a 4pm to 12pm Monday to Friday shift pattern, the successful candidates will be tasked with assisting the Maintenance Manager in providing support for all production activity, and maintaining machinery, services and supplies to the March site in line with PPM measures and ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all employees and the optimum running efficiency of all equipment is maintained at all times.

Working both autonomously and as part of a team, you will undertake a combination of PPM and reactive maintenance breakdown and repair activities on a range of plant and equipment, ensuring the minimal downtime of production operations and the achievement of internal SLA’s, so proven experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault find and repair is essential for the positions. With excellent organisational and prioritising abilities, you will additionally be skilled in the training and development of fellow engineers whilst maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant technology and legislation as appropriate.

During your shifts, you will audit associated machinery and perform PPM and reactive repair work as appropriate as well as some facilities activities where necessary, whilst ensuring a safe and clean working environment conducive to the highest levels of productivity and quality at all times. With responsibility for the accurate booking out of spares and for providing input into continuous improvement techniques and methodologies, you will additionally undertake risk assessments where required and complete detailed and accurate job handover sheets at the end of each shift, so excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels are essential for the position.

Previous experience of working within a multi skilled maintenance environment is essential for these positions, as is a demonstrable appreciation of continuous improvement and lean methodologies, and you will be flexible to work on a late shift pattern of working with inclusion in occasional weekend rota work.
