Our client has been established for more than three decades and specialise in the provision of contract electronics manufacturing solutions to a diverse range of customers in a diverse range of market sectors. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and highly capable Electronics Buyer to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring that the best purchasing strategy is in place for the organisation, consistently maintaining quality and managing costs, whilst being skilled in adapting to the different client needs and being able to develop and maintain successful working relationships. You will be responsible for efficiently specifying quality and delivery schedules and for ensuring the due date integrity of all items currently on order from the company supply chain.
Other duties will include ensuring that the Material Delivery data on the in house system reflect the true MRP demand, expediting purchase orders and working with the supply chain to overcome any short term delivery issues. With a high level of attention to detail and a structured and methodical approach to problem solving, you will comply with the purchasing and inventory management processes and procedure and will highlight any issues that cannot be overcome to the Purchasing Manager at the earliest opportunity.
To be considered for this varied and challenging position, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess a high level of proficiency in the use of the MS Suite (particularly Excel) and will demonstrate exceptional communication and influencing skills at all levels. Able to demonstrate proven previous success within a busy purchasing and planning environment allied to the manufacturing sector, you will demonstrate previous comprehensive experience of working within an electronics procurement arena (with knowledge of SMT technology, PCB’s, cabling solutions and electro-mechanical and electro-optical assembly essential for the position).
