Our client specialises in the provision of an exhaustive range of office technology products and services to an impressive and diverse range of customers throughout the UK. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and experience Bid Management Executive to complement their established and successful team.

Reporting to the Head of Bid Management and based in prestigious offices in the West Midlands, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the formal bidding process of all Business Development activities in all relevant markets, overseeing Project Teams for individual bids and the management of the internal process to submission, and creating bespoke bids and controlling the quality of output, ensuring consistent timely and compliant submissions and engaging with the Bid
Management Administrator to support continued development of the best practice bid library.

You will be tasked with all aspects of bid writing and associated response document creation, and for the qualification and notification against the published BID matrix, logging and administering all PQQ’s and ITT’s as appropriate and collating “Go No GO” views of all key stakeholders to create a sound business case. You will devise the bid plan timetable and responsibility matrix and ensure team adherence to the process, and will ensure financial and legal risk assessments are completed
accurately and on time.
You will organise and present “kick off” meetings and facilitate strategy sessions as required, and manage portal communications proactively and accurately sharing knowledge with key stakeholders as appropriate, translating the sales strategy, win themes and differentiators into the bid materials in order to maximise competitive positioning and applying bid intelligence to demonstrate strategic understanding of the customer to whom you are bidding.

Other responsibilities will include compiling and editing narrative input from the bid team and ensuring corporate requirements are met by managing and executing the bid response. You will facilitate post bid reviews and face to face client debriefs and both manage and analyse customer feedback, proactively sharing learning’s with the stakeholder group as a whole. You will manage all aspects of the production of presentation materials providing guidance and advise to the team as appropriate, before undertaking face to face Client presentation of the bid proposal where required.
You will maintain and update accurate bid records weekly and ensure the effective and efficient management of the bid process at all times, and ensure that the Top 25 Account bids are prioritised in terms of profitability and business growth. Essentially, you will ensure the completion of each tender on its own merits responds to the specific requirements of that customer, coordinating specialist input from around the business, and that the tender response is submitted in line with specific requirements of the tendering authority.
To be considered for this varied and challenging position it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant business writing discipline and demonstrate a good understanding of contracts management. You will demonstrate previous success of winning tenders and meeting targets, and will be able to confidently present and communicate to senior management with exceptional organisation and time management skills and demonstrate the flexibility to work hours as required to accommodate deadlines at bid submission stage. Attention to detail is key for success in this position, and you will be proficient in the use of Microsoft suite software with strong interpersonal skills and exceptional decision making and problem solving skills when working in a pressurised environment.
