Description: Dynamic, proactive and extremely self motivated New Business Development professional required for established and highly successful precision engineering solutions provider.
Salary: to c£40k neg dep exp + generous commission and benefits package
Our client has been established for more than a half century and are recognised market leaders in precision machining for a range of applications and market sectors, including Aerospace, Nuclear, Marine and FMCG, for clients throughout the world. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth for 2016, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, highly capable and self-motivated proactive Business Development Manager to complement their professional and highly successful team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business initiatives, partnerships and commercial opportunities in order to generate new income opportunities, and supporting the Proposals team through the bid process and negotiating the commercial details of a tender.
You will be tasked with successfully identifying new opportunities with new customers whilst proactively promoting the organisation and its’ technical capabilities, securing Invitations to Tender and supporting the Proposals Team in producing subsequent tender documentation before presenting to potential new customers. A skilled communicator at all levels and able to confidently influence where required, you will resolve any questions from the customer arising from the tender and effectively negotiate the commercial terms of the contract.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate significant previous experience of selling technical solutions from business to business, with experience of precision turned fasteners or supply to the marine and aerospace sectors proving distinctly advantageous.
You will be able to consistently represent the high technical skills and professional approach of the client and demonstrate a proven track record of making successful bids for large projects. Essentially you will possess relevant engineering qualifications and a full clean driving licence along with the excellent communication skills including written, presentation, influencing and negotiating abilities required for the position.
