Salary: to £35k + car + commission + benefits - REALISTIC OTE £75k+

Our client specialise in the provision of a range of office technology products and services to an impressive and diverse portfolio of customers throughout the UK. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Infrastructure Sales Consultant to complement their established and successful Professional Services team. Reporting to the Group Professional Services Manager, the Infrastructure Sales position is a business development role that is focussed on maximising sales leads and opportunities from the existing client database.

Travelling extensively throughout the Southern region, the successful candidate will be tasked with both identifying and aggressively pursuing new Infrastructure projects with particular focus on the supply of server and desktop hardware, end user software and server based software systems, as well as cloud and hosted solutions, structured cabling and leased line products for a range of SME customers.

Working with various distributors and selected partners, you will utilise vertical and solution skills to detect new opportunities as well as enhancement, modification and upgrade opportunities, carefully selecting solutions that will add value to the business whilst adopting an entrepreneurial mind set for optimum commercial results at all times. You will arrange and attend your own appointments and advise on all aspects of the IT services available from the company portfolio to a technically informed level, before following through to sales generation and set target achievement.

Upon successful completion of a solution sale, you will produce all associated technical software and solutions based documentation in support of the sale to include Solution Design & Statement of Works, covering all necessary details for the project to be handed over efficiently and accurately to the support team to install, and liaising with the support teams as appropriate in order to acquire the necessary hardware and software as required. Fully conversant with lease finance deals and the ability to lead contract negotiations and price and quote deals efficiently and accurately, you will liaise with other members of the sales teams to ensure there are no conflicts of interest and will report on an weekly basis to the Management team on the status of projects being undertaken, leads generated and meetings booked whilst maintaining a fully visible and accurate calendar. You will also maintain and expand upon your own IT knowledge levels to keep abreast of relevant technological developments.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate proven professional sales experience gained in a complex solution sales environment, possessing exceptional proactive business development, negotiation and account management experience and a strong understanding of Microsoft, Software licensing, Virtual, Hosted and hardware technology and an appreciation of competitor positions. With your track record of both meeting and exceeding sales targets and in-depth experience including RFI/RFP proposal strategy, management and response, you will demonstrate superior presentation development, influencing and delivery skills and be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team.

To ensure success in this role, leadership qualities and the ability to communicate a compelling vision to engage, inspire and motivate customers and prospects as well as internal teams to drive the business forward and achieve goals are essential. Combining these qualities with strong organisational and entrepreneurial skills and the ability to establish and sustain senior relationships with targeted industries is also paramount.
