Description: Experienced FMCG Site Technical Manager required for globally recognised "tree to table" specialist.

Our client has been established for almost half a century and specialise in the sourcing and availability of FMCG “fruit tree to table” product solutions for supply throughout the world. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and suitably dynamic and professional individual to complement their established team.
Reporting to the Technical Head, the successful candidate will have full responsibility for fruit packhouse compliance to meet legal and customer requirements, and will work closely with the Operations Manager in order to ensure that all customer orders are met with the correct product solutions. Additionally you will be responsible for the development and delivery of systems and processes within the packhouse and for the management maintenance of site audits whilst ensuring an accurate and smooth reporting system with the senior management team.
As Site Technical Manager, you will ensure that in-house Policies and Procedures are maintained and up to date whilst ensuring compliance with new legal and customer legislation, and will drive the packhouse technical compliance agenda,
implementing the internal audit schedule and delivering accurate KPI’s to the senior team to highlight performance and compliance issues where appropriate.
With the day to day management of non-compliance issues, you will both develop and deliver BRC / Food Safety and HACCP Training Programmes to all relevant staff, and ensure regular meetings and communications are recorded for due diligence/
compliance purposes, escalating issues in relation to non-compliance to Head / Director where deemed appropriate and auditing off-site service providers as required.
Other responsibilities will include regular liaison with site and service staff providers’ teams and the operations department as well as with the Commercial and procurement team in order to fully understand Commercial and Procurement pressures, Objectives and any forthcoming issues allied to Quality and Availability. The Site Technical Manager will possess the ability to make key decisions on a day to day basis connected with compliance issues as they arise, and will be a confident communicator skilled in understanding the needs of the customer as well as being an influential and motivational leader.
To be considered for this extremely exciting, varied and challenging position, a broad understanding of the fresh produce industry is essential in order to understand everyday pressures and needs of the business both
technically and commercially, and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 2-3 years’ experience of managing a multiproduct high care facility and previous experience of both managing and driving BRC, internal and
customer audits accordingly. You will be a highly proactive and hands-on manager realistically qualified to degree or diploma level in food technology or a related field and will ideally hold recognised Trainer and Lead Auditor
qualifications along with HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 with knowledge of high care prep facilities.
