Description: Experienced and ambitious Electronics Design Engineer required for dynamic and innovative manufacturing organisation.
Salary: c£35k - £45k neg dep exp + ben
Our client is a dynamic and progressive engineering group supplying hazardous industry clients with intrinsically safe monitoring and control products. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Electronics Design professional to complement their established and successful team and become involved in the design and development of electronic products that are supplied into a number of industrial sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the specification and development of products to an agreed requirement within agreed timescales, and will support products and provide relevant information to the Product Engineering department to produce production packages.
You will also be responsible for the generation of associated product certification information and liaise with both internal and external customers on product/production issues, compiling product data and test procedures for Product Engineering and providing highest quality product design services to the company that fulfil their requirement specifications whilst providing Project leadership and Management to deliver projects on time, on specification and on
budget. You will give input into product requirement and functional specifications and produce product schematics and PCB layouts, as well as providing certification information packages as required.
Additionally you will co-ordinate the building of prototype designs and associated prototype testing and write product type test and production type test procedures as well as assisting in the design of production test rigs and maintaining electronic design records for all aspects of a new designs as required.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role you will realistically be qualified to degree level in Electronics Engineering or similar and demonstrate proven experience of product development cycle and production handover. With extensive knowledge and experience in the specification, design and development of analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuits and products, you will also have experience in DFM and test working across cross functional engineering teams. With strong bench test, debugging and prototyping skills and experience in the use of complex test equipment, knowledge of wireless networking, Ethernet, CANBUS, Modbus/Profibus and other protocols as well as Altium Designer for both Schematic Capture and PCB layout will prove distinctly advantageous.
