Salary: to £40k plus car plus benefits plus commission
Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is recognised as the UK’s largest and most successful manufacturer of bespoke waste containment solutions for a diverse range of industry sector applications including recycling, materials handling and transportation. With nearly 100 employees and a multi million pound turnover operation, as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and highly self motivated Territory Manager to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Director of the organisation, after an initial intensive product training programme the successful candidate will be responsible for covering the East of England region – encompassing Norfolk, Suffolk, Northamptonshire, Leicester and the East Midlands up to the Scottish borders (excluding West Yorkshire) and undertaking both existing account management and proactive new business development activities on both self generated leads as well as quantified leads provided by Head Office.
In an environment where the average sales order is between £15k to £20k and the average sales lifecycle is a 3 – 6 week period, you will be a tenacious and highly self-motivated individual demonstrating at least 3 years previous business development and new business sales experience within a capital value product led market.
Whilst previous experience in waste management is advantageous though not essential, you will possess a proven track record of success in developing a territory and the ability to communicate and influence effectively with people at all levels within a customer service focussed environment. You will be flexible to travel extensively throughout the region and will already be based within the area and will be required to travel to the Midlands for quarterly sales meetings.
