Description: Experienced and enthusiastic electrical and controls engineer required to undertake a range of design and development activities on an expansive portfolio of automated systems and materials handling solutions.
Our client specialise in the provision of unique automation solutions to a diverse range of customers and industry sectors worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated electrical and controls engineer to complement their established and professional project engineering team.
Reporting to the Controls Manager, the successful candidate will be extensively involved in all electrical and control aspects of innovative automation systems production, and will undertake a range of activities that will include the design, program, build and wire in of electrical control panels for an expansive range of conveyors.
Other responsibilities will include the accurate completion of associated supporting document and paperwork (such as circuit drawings and schematic layouts, CE documentation etc) as well as performing testing and troubleshooting activities and undertaking the specification of associated materials required.
Additionally, you may be required to undertake occasional visits to customer sites or project locations to provide additional resource support, so a full UK driving licence is essential for the position.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will realistically demonstrate at least 3 years previous experience of working within an electrical or controls engineering environment and demonstrate proven controls design experience, preferably gained on the Siemens S7-1200 platform. You will possess relevant engineering qualifications and hold 17th / 18th Edition IEE regs certificate and with extensive experience in the use of AutoCad Electrical or a similar design package.
You will possess excellent communication skills at all levels and be experienced in producing technical documentation (with experience of Systema proving distinctly advantageous) using the Microsoft suite of packages.
