As a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, ambitious and dedicated professional Technical Service Sales Engineer to complement their established and professional team.
Ideally based in the Midlands or South East of England with regular trips to the Derby head office and customer sites with the opportunity to work from home as required, this is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and driven Service Sales Engineer and Business Development professional to progress their career within a highly professional and dynamic technical sales environment and support the planned strategic growth of the business and aggressively grow the sales turnover over the next 5 years.
Core responsibilities for the position will include creating effective and commercially viable sales strategies, developing the sales pipeline, supporting large tender works and securing lucrative new project opportunities from both new and existing clients and market sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.
You will be responsible for the sale of a range of technical solutions including Control Systems, Distributed Temperature Systems, Uninterruptable Power Supplies or Ventilation systems and will excel in developing and maintaining valuable relationships with both current and prospective clients to maximise opportunities and ensure repeat business. An excellent communicator at all levels, you will discuss and understand client technical issues in order to identify and effectively communicate potential solutions and will be adept in the identification and exploration of future trends and market opportunities that may arise and utilise solutions from the product portfolio.
In order to be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate relevant electrical engineering or technical qualifications with at least 3 years of relevant career sector experience gained in project or technical systems sales. Previous demonstrable experience of meeting and exceeding technical sales targets is essential for the position, as is experience of the selling of technical services and solutions within a range of industry sectors, with sales allied to the delivery of control system solutions for medium to large infrastructure projects proving distinctly advantageous, as will an understanding and experience of successful formal bid processes and procedures.
