Description: Dynamic, proactive and experienced Solutions Sales Manager required by our globally renowned automation solutions specialist client to develop commercially lucrative and longstanding new business relationships.
Our client has been established for more than half a century and specialise in the installation and support of conveyor and materials handling solutions for clients throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and an exciting program of strategic growth for 2022 and beyond, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Manager to complement their motivated and professional Solutions team.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced relationships with target customers both existing and new, ensuring you become their preferred supplier of the companies impressive materials handling solutions portfolio, and developing global relationships and winning business from concept through to project delivery and handover.
The successful candidate will be tasked with driving market awareness and sales of the companies impressive product range into the UK market, understanding the key contacts, relationships and structure within targeted accounts and building commercially lucrative relationships with them to influence contract assignment in the future, whilst working closely with the in-house competence centre for design and sales to ensure full transparency of information from manufacturing to the UK Project delivery team.
Acting as a ‘Consultative Partner’ utilising the global Document Handling and Labelling Teams extensive resources, you will manage the full sales process including RFI/RFP and negotiation stages as well as component sales into target accounts, whilst providing technical sales and applications support as required to customers and liaising closely with the marketing department to generate relevant and valuable leads and dynamic marketing literature on an ongoing basis.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that all relevant areas of Health and Safety legislation and required quality systems are actively adhered to at all times and demonstrate the support of all areas / departments within the company to ensure that a team spirit is observed in line with the dynamic and supportive ethos of the business.
With the objective of developing those relationships formed from ‘transactional’ to ‘dependant,’ you will grow and sustain your Pipeline, Sales & GP by Account and also report to the senior management team on performance as well as on the market and competitor activity and general placement in the marketplace as required.
To be considered for this varied and challenging opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified in a relevant engineering degree (or MBA / equivalent) with demonstrable experience of successfully selling capital products within B2B and B2C technical environments, gained within the materials handling or automation sector, and proven experience of both successfully managing key accounts as well as opening new accounts and winning new business from new and previously untapped market sectors.
With experience of working with design teams to create the required solution, you will excel in negotiating at all levels both internally and externally and committed to the consistent delivery of the highest levels of service and satisfaction. With a tenacious and persuasive manner and Pro-active approach with a ‘sense of urgency,’ you will be driven to deliver the business targets whilst being outcome oriented and able to solve problems as they may arise.
