Description: Exceptional opportunity with our globally recognised market leading client for a Special Products Equipment Manager to oversee the design and production of specialist gas solutions.
Our client is part of as multi-billion-pound global organisation employing more than 70,000 staff in more than 100 countries and are recognised market leaders in their niche manufacturing sector. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and entrepreneurial Special Products Equipment Manager to complement their established and professional team based in the Morden area of Wimbledon.
The Special Products division of the business design, manufacture and sell a diverse range of solutions associated with the highest levels of purity and grades available of special gases and gas mixtures to extremely high levels of accuracy and tolerances for a diverse range of applications, ranging from breath test equipment used by the Police through to the calibration of gas supply lines and environmental air quality testing equipment and machinery.
As the Equipment Manager within the Special Products Division, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the design and production of the special products equipment portfolio, including regulators, manifolds and associated pipework that connects the equipment together, so previous experience gained within the gas systems sector will prove distinctly advantageous.
Other duties and responsibilities for this varied and entrepreneurial role will include maximising profits through meeting the demands of external and internal customers, achieving growth targets, and efficiently managing both stock and product supply, and proactively planning based on customer demand to ensure requirements are achieved.
In addition to the high levels of technical content in the position, it is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills at all levels, able to provide commercial and technical support to the sales team in order to allow for commercially beneficial quotes to be created, but also able to develop relationships with both new and existing customers to ensure business and sales targets are achieved as well as being able to motivate and develop fellow members of your team.
To be considered for this unique and challenging opportunity it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be ideally qualified to degree level or above in a relevant Mechanical or Science related discipline and hold membership of a suitable associated Institute. Operating as a technical authority in the business, you will essentially possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of gas control components, system materials and designs required to accommodate these features, with experience gained within a gas pipeline, gas regulator or even gas manufacturing environment proving distinctly advantageous.
