Description: Experienced senior electronics engineer with a background in automotive or consumer electronics volume manufacture required by our innovative and niche sector client - an exceptional opportunity!
Our client has been established for more than a decade and are recognised internationally as market leaders of their innovative patented technology associated with the niche vehicle safety sector, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a senior electronic engineering professional to complement their dynamic team.
Reporting to the Directors of the business, this is an exceptional progressive opportunity for a motivated and technically talented engineer with a broad understanding and appreciation of high-volume manufacturing in a safety critical environment to develop their career in a growing niche sector environment.
To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 5 years previous experience gained in either a Consumer Electronics or an Automotive Electronics development role and will be familiar with Schematic capture, PCB Design and component selection with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with Far East contract manufacturers whilst ensuring compliance with relevant Automotive and Statutory regulations.
You will also essentially be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Low Power Devices
- Sub-Ghz (433Mhz/125Khz) Radio
- I2C / SPI / Low level protocols
- CANBus Communication (J1939)
- RF Protocol Creation / Analysis
- PCB Design + Schematic Capture
- Component Selection and Analysis
- Bill of Materials review and management
With the ability to outline and detail requirements for Software Functions, Electronic Parameters and Specifications, RF Performance and Customer Integration documentation and product appropriate test and validation documentation, you will also demonstrate the ability to both develop and support the development of Sales promotional hardware and bespoke Internal QC equipment whilst providing technical guidance to Sales team and produce “Works Like/Looks Like Samples” of new developments when required.
